These are the classes that will not only train you to shoot faster and more accurately; these are the classes that will teach you how to fight with a gun! We will cover “Tactics” as well as the biomechanics of shooting better.

Shooting is a perishable skill, requiring continuous and persistent training to maintain proficiency and accuracy. Many people obtain their License to Carry and never train or take another class thereafter. Tragically, lack of preparation and practice may yield potentially life threatening results. Having a License to Carry does not make one a skilled shooter any more than having a driver’s license makes one a race car driver.
Several classes offered by El Paso LTC to prepare you for real world proficiency include legal aspects and proper tactics for a LTC holder. Once you’ve earned your License to Carry, it is strongly recommended that you continue learning, training, and practicing.

If for any reason that you are not satisfied with the class, I will issue a full refund.

Student Reviews:

Shawn MacNeil Sr: My wife and I attended the Defensive Pistol 101 with Ben on 01/07/2018. I work in Law Enforcement and have years of experience with Firearms but my wife was very new to guns. We both learned so much and left the class much improved in our skills but even more important we left with a very clear picture of our weaknesses and with a very clear set of techniques we could practice to improve our shooting skills and ability to defend ourselves. I would highly recommend this class to anyone from very new to very experienced!

Christy Wilke:  Ben keeps drilling you on safety maneuvers. You know what to practice when you leave the class. I liked the close contact practice the most. I felt comfortable learning with the one on one attention he gives to you even in a group lesson. He explains exactly why he is teaching you each method and goes over why you may not want to try other methods. Very knowledgeable!!

Evelyn Guzman : This course is absolutely recommended. You learn so much and see results immediately. I grew up with rifles and purchased my first gun however I wasn’t nearly as familiar with pistols as I was with rifles. Ben goes over all the safety techniques (which I found out I have some bad habits to break) and how to properly hold, shoot, and the whole bit. We went through different stances and draws. By the end of the class my draw time and accuracy were already so much better. So glad I took the course and recommend it even for experienced people.

Diana M Rink: I came into Bens Defensive Pistol 101 Course as a complete Pistol newbie. I had never handled or shot one before, his significant emphasis on safety made me very comfortable. He watches you closely and continually corrects actions that can put you and those around you in danger. I really cannot emphasize enough how important it is for an instructor to do that. The camaraderie in the class was great as well and I walked away feeling much more confident with a new enthusiasm for taking as many courses as I can and exploring firearms more. If your thinking about it, just do it, take the course no matter your level of experience.

Celina Hernandez: I signed up for Ben’s class because 6 years ago I lost my husband to cancer and felt that my children and I needed to learn how to use a fire arm in case of an emergency. Since I do have a gun in my home I felt that it was important that my children learn about gun safety as well as knowing how to use a firearm and respect it. Ben’s class taught valuables lessons that will stay with us forever. He was extremely professional and a special thanks to Melissa and Peter because they took my children under their wing to make sure that they were safe for the entirety of the class. I now have confidence that if an emergency were to occur my children will be able to respond accordingly with a fire arm. Per my 13 year old son he said,”This is a great class with great teachers. They corrected my mistakes and kept me and my family safe.” My 10 year old daughter wants to know when we are going back. Thank you Ben, Melissa, and Peter. Thank you El Paso License to carry! I highly recommend this class to everyone.

Nick Ortega: I took Ben’s Defensive Pistol 101 class a few weekends ago. I have been doing shooting for over 30 years, but definitely learned a few new things. I also took the class with a mother and two children. Safety was definitely the importance of the course. I highly recommend this course for new shooters who want to pick up some safety handling and training skills or to skilled shooters looking to fine tune their drawing and shooting skills. A+ JOB!

Carlos Nouel: I signed up for Ben’s License to Carry (LTC) class in January 2016. Ben was very professional and knowledgeable. He made the class very interesting and easy. The shooting part was super cool. He also has two safety officers who were also very knowledgeable and professional. The entire crew was very helpful, and they really wanted us to succeed. I also found out that Ben has a Defensive Pistol Class 101, and I signed up for that class too. My wife and I attended Ben’s Defensive Pistol Class 101, and oooooooohhhhhh my goodness! My wife is now comfortable with her pistol. We both now know how to clear the different types of malfunctions we would encounter. We learned safety, and shooting from different positions. It was very fun. Ben and his two safety officers helped each student one on one, and when every one was ready we performed as a group. This is the best!

Paul Blakely: My daughter, my wife and I attended the Defensive Pistol 101 class recently. Ben’s knowledge, teaching style and patience made this the perfect class for us . From beginner to experienced shooter the class is a valuable step in safe responsible pistol use.

Sarah Ashley: The Defensive Pistol 101 class with Ben was outstanding. I have been shooting for awhile but his class taught me a whole new skill set. We learned how to shoot from several different positions, reloading, and shooting from a draw. He was able to give great pointers and individual attention to every student and his classroom combined with hands on training made sure I thoroughly learned all aspects of the class. I would highly recommend Ben’s defensive pistol 101 course to anyone who wants to improve their shooting skills.
