LTC-101 Completion Class

If you have completed the Texas Online LTC class and qualify under the below “Prerequisite”, then you are eligible to attend the LTC-101 Completion class (the Range Safety and Shooting Proficiency portion of the DPS requirements).  Cost is $49

 Exempt From The Shooting Test per DPS 

Certain people are not required to complete the shooting portion of the Texas license to carry class. All they need to do is complete our Texas online license to carry class and they are done. Those that are not required to shoot are:

  • Texas State Correctional Officers “CO’s” are automatically exempt from the shooting portion.
  • Active duty military or veterans that have within the past 10 years completed training in the familiarization of firearms  OR have firearm shooting scores from the military.
  • County Jailers that have completed firearms training as part of their employment.
If you have completed an online classroom portion (Part A) of LTC class and have a signed LTC-101 from your online course provider, and do not qualify from the above exemption, than you are eligible to attend the Range Safety (Part B) and the Shooting Proficiency Test (Part C) of the course at any of our upcoming LTC classes for a discount price of $49. 
All classes are held at the a private air-conditioned indoor range in the Upper Valley Area.
Students will need to bring eye, ear protection, a baseball cap,  a semi-auto or revolver and a minimum of 50 rounds of factory ammo.   Reloads, steel core ammo  is not allowed by the range.  You  can also rent a pistol ($10) and purchase factory ammo (50-rd 9mm, 380 ACP, 40SW or 45 ACP for $30, or .22LR for $12) from us.

 

Prerequisite for the Texas LTC-101 Completion Class

You will need to know how to safely manipulate your pistol.  Skills such as “loading a magazine”, “top off a magazine”, “reload an empty gun “, “unload and show clear”, “finger out of trigger guard”, “muzzle discipline” and the 180 rule.  Please search each item in YouTube and learn the skills before attending the class.
Also need to be able safely shooting your gun proficiently (70%) in order to pass the shooting proficiency test before you sign-up for the LTC-101 Completion class.

Cancellation Policy:

Due to Covid-19, we limited our class size to 12. Every spot is taken with a wait list! Therefore, the following cancellation policy is strictly enforced.
Full refund is available if cancellation request is received 2 weeks prior to the class date or you exhibit COVID-19 symptoms with 48-hour notice.
There will be a $25 rescheduling fee if cancellation request is received after the 48 hours prior to the class date. Absolutely no refund for “no show” and no notice given.
